A start-up company in the medical device field engaged GMI for complete patent services, with the goal to securing IP rights in the US and at least a dozen foreign countries.
Result
GMI performed an initial patent search, and identified new, novel elements with the client’s design. A US provisional application was prepared and filed, followed one year later by a PCT application, allowing patent applications to be filed in most countries for up to 18 additional months. GMI engaged its global network of foreign associates to file applications in 10 foreign countries, along with the entire EU. Success rate with issuance is 100%.
